Autism Dietitian, Warwickshire

‘We still do not know what autism is, or to be precise what the ‘autisms’ are’- Lancet 2010

Many children and adults on the autistic spectrum have dietary issues.  I aim to look at you or your child’s communication needs, sensory issues, social situation and development needs alongside the nutritional issues – after all, food isn’t just about nutrition, it plays a huge role in our social lives, and our care giving too.

I have a decade of experience in dietetics, and autism is my main interest and specialism.

Things I may be able to help with are:
- overeating
- undereating
- iron deficiency
- food fear and food refusal
- selective diets
- food obsessions
- gut problems
- allergies
- deciding which biomedical interventions are safest for your child

If necessary I can see you at home or over skype to minimise the stress of coming to see me.
