Books and publications

Below are links to information sheets and ebooks written by Zoe Connor RD on a range of different nutrition related topics.  They are designed to be used in conjunction with not instead of individualised advice from a dietitian.  Most are free to download.

Zoe did all she could to ensure that these publications were correct at the time of writing, but please bear in mind that food products and indeed nutrition policy and research does change over time, and so please check any content that may be critical to health.  Much of this information was originally published on Zoe Connor’s previous website www.nutritionnutrition.com, and has been converted to pdf and published here.

Following a gluten-free and milk-free diet is a therapy for autism and autistic spectrum conditions that is very commonly trialled by parents, despite the evidence for its use not being strong.

This  e-book is a comprehensive guide to safely cutting both gluten and milk out of your diet – for whatever the reason – not only for autism. It includes foods to eat and foods to avoid, nutritional pitfalls to avoid, meal and snack ideas, shopping tips, lists of product producers and stockists, recipes and more.

Healthy living information sheets for fieldworkers in Indonesia

Why? Zoe spent 9 months in Indonesia from 2006 to 2007 as a nutrition advisor for VSO.  She spent most of this time attached to a local agency in Ruteng, Flores – Yayasan Ayo Indonesia – who were committed to improving health, roads, water access and agriculture in local villages.  Zoe produced three leaflets below as an aid for field workers.  The other document is a summary of nutrition and health issues in the area.  Many thanks go to Jeanie Vianey and Kusmadi for translating.
